While getting things prepared for this year, I thought it might be useful to create a page like this. Feel free to include things about the classroom, school, wiki, or basically anything dealing with the year. I will be showing them your wiki and explaining how it works and how to use it during the first week of school.
Hopefully everyone is having a great summer...and don't forget...come back and visit us in IS if you get a chance.
Mr. Carroll

When given a project, you should start working on it as soon as possible, or else you won`t be able to make a good project or finish it on time.--*Monica-Aug. 1, `08*--
Try your best in school, put your best effort in the school work that you do and be respectful to the environment around you.~Lucy~Aug. 2~2008
Be sure to follow the rules of School. Be safe, respectful, responsible, and honest everywhere you go. --SooMin--August, 3, 2008
You should not cheat on tests or projects because it is not responsible and the tests are for your own good. So, if you don't get the test questions, you can ask your teacher or just try your best and answer it. --SooMin--August, 3, 2008
If you don't get the first question of a test, you can just leave it for awhile, and go to the next question and if you've done the second question, go back to the question you didn't get because if you keep on trying to do the first question, and not the rest, you will not have a lot of time to finish it on time.
--SooMin--August, 3, 2008
If it is really hard, then don't give up. Read it on, make a model or draw pictures to make it easier to work it out. Or ask the teacher to help you.
If it has to do with lots of working, don't panic, just work it out because it sure will be harder in the future and now it's the chance to get used to it otherwise, you would have to start in the first place.~Sung Hwan~ August 3, 2008
When you do a project, you should look at the audience, speak clearly, speak slowly (not too slowly) and steadily and make eye contacts. If you are doing a PowerPoint, don't try to turn your body back because the audience will only see your back. Also, use your hands to give more excitement and information. You can point to the pictures you've put it on the PowerPoint and make hand gestures. --SooMin--August, 4, 2008
If your teacher is talking in front of the class and explaining things, you should take your notebook and write important things that you might have help on. If you do those things, someday there could be a pop quiz that you didn't know and you could open your notebook and revise it, then when the quiz starts, you might be able to remember things clearly. --SooMin--August, 4, 2008
Try to raise your hand to ask questions if you have, instead of just blurting out the question. But, you should not raise your hand when your teacher is talking about something and if your teacher asks the class if you have any questions, that second, you should raise your hand and ask your teacher.
--SooMin--August, 6, 2008
You should try to work as hard as possible because when you have a good report on your projects and test then it would be better if a pop quiz comes out like the math thing. Then Mr. Carroll will really know that you have been really working hard to get the things down and thinking ahead and out of the box. Vivian August 8,08
When you are doing a project then you should make some eye contact with the people. And for the people who are listening to his or her presentation should not be disrespectful and shouldn't put your head on the desk or make any noise. So you will not be rude to the person.-Vivian-8-11-08
Pay attention to your teacher whenever they talk. If you don't listen to your teacher and fiddle with your things, your teacher might have said something important for a quiz that will help you to understand and others. Also, don't raise your hand to ask questions when the teacher is talking. Ask when the teacher ask if there is any question or when the teacher is clearly done with explaining. So, always, listen to your teacher! --SooMin--August, 14, 2008\2008
You should really not play with your things in your desk when your teacher is telling you something that is very important. You should listen to the question and when you don't understand you should just ask the teacher. Vivian-8-26-08
Be afraid very afraid.-ERic
